Comic Strips in the English classroom
In order to make tasks and exercises more interesting for pupils it is important to present the exercise sheets in a well structured and designed fashion. One possibility to improve and enhance your exercise sheets in a appealing way is the use of so-called comic strip creators. One example for that is bitstrips.com.
In a previous seminar me and some study-mates created a short tutorial how to create comicstrips with this particular tool. You can have a look at it here.

One major advantage of creating exercise sheets with such a comic-strip creator its the higher motivation of pupils who do not have to deal with old and repeatedly used worksheets of the teacher. With this kind of more lively exercise the learning progress is enhanced and the pupils are more motivated to work.
In this particular picture, the fluent use of correct prepositions is the main goal of this exercise. The pupils have to describe where every element is located. Using such comic-strips is much more encouraging, than repeating and rephrasing speeches of the teacher or audio files.
